Public transport in Brisbane is serviced by trains, buses and ferries that comprehensively cover the city and suburban areas.

CityCats are a popular and speedy way to travel the Brisbane River, whether you are commuting with a purpose or just for the thrill of the ride.

Translink tickets can be used on most buses, QR Citytrain, Brisbane City Council (BCC) ferries and CityCats. Fares are calculated on the number of zones that you travel in your journey

Private buses and ferries also operate in Brisbane.

Cycling is a pleasant and convenient way to travel around Brisbane with over 500km of bicycle tracks throughout the city. Bikes can be taken on trains, ferries and some buses, so you can avoid the hills when you need to!

Taxis that can be hailed from the street, or engaged at ranks in and around the city. Tipping is not customary.
