RENTING IN ADELAIDE

Securing a rental property in Adelaide is not difficult, although some of the more prestigious areas tend to have limited options. Leases are generally available for a minimum of 6 to 12 months.

Depending on where you choose to live rental prices vary from about $160-325 per week for a three-bedroom house, $100-220 per week for a smaller house and $90-135 per week for a one-bedroom flat. Inner city, beachside suburbs and the Adelaide Hills tend to be more expensive areas to live.

The majority of rental properties are unfurnished. If you are not bringing furniture, then renting is an economical solution and there are many furniture rental companies in Adelaide.

When relocating from overseas, we recommend you leave white goods, such as washing machines and other electrical items, at home as most international appliances are not compatible in Australia. Rental, or inexpensive purchase is better option. Some rental properties, particularly newer apartments, will have white goods already installed.
