WELCOME TO KARRATHA

On the central Pilbara coast about 1,550 km north of Perth, Karratha is a contemporary town providing accommodation and services to employees and families of various mining and other companies.

Attractions around Karratha:

Karijini National Park has breathtaking gorges, crystal clear rock pools, waterfalls, and stunning scenery with walking trails and picnic areas.

Jaburara Heritage Trail provides an insight into the traditional Aboriginal culture of the area including ancient rock paintings and ceremonial sites.

Fenaclng Festival Taking its name from the chemical symbols for iron (Fe), salt (NaCL) and the abbreviation for liquefied natural gas (LNG, the festival is one of a number of Karratha community events.

Karratha Aquatic Centre has a public swimming pool and offers Aqua Aerobics classes as well as pre-school swimming classes.

Karratha Golf Club is open to the public everyday, except Saturdays, which is club competition day. Scroungers golf is held on Tuesdays and on Friday afternoon from 3.30 pm.
